Rob and Kristen Deserve Better...

A long time ago...in a fandom far, far away...

There used to be a group of people, who believed in a relationship between Rob and Kristen.
There used to be a group of people, who did not believe in a relationship between Rob and Kristen.

It was fairly easy - spots with spots, strips with strips.
You were either for the relationship or you were against it - there was no in between. There were no naysayers or flip-floppers, or angry bitter little trolls - we knew on both sides who the enemy was - Robsten (still hate that word) or Nonsten (against Rob and Kristen)
Good times, good times.
Now?

Now it's beyond ridiculous, beyond comprehension, beyond belief, that the downright bowels of disrespect are being played out on public boards, public blogs, public twitter accounts for all to see.

Let's get a few things very straight;
When you have a public blog, it's there for all to see. Your opinion is your opinion and if people like it they read it, they may even respond to it. But if they don't like it, they don't have to read it. And if they comment on how they feel you are doing a 'disservice' by posting your opinion on a public blog, that is yours to do with whatever they want...then expect to be treated with the same kind of 'attitude' that you present to them or those who also post on the blog. It's just an opinion, an expression of feelings and musings and you know what, if you find it offensive - DON'T bloody read it - simple.

Differences of opinions, I grow tired, weary and so pissed off at the holier than thou attitudes of some people. Putting down, belittling, disrespecting and encouraging others to 'bully' a person or persons, just because their opinion differs from yours. Who the heck gave anyone the right to 'brow beat' a person into 'accepting' what you say is true and anyone who says different is a liar and a troll and worse than the haters of Rob and Kristen?

What on earth has got into some people; those who go to gossip blogs and post up, no, rant away at people, who have a difference of opinion. Support Rob and Kristen as a couple as much as the next person, unless they are a robsessed hater, and trust me there are a lot of them about!
IF you don't agree with a person's opinion or expressed concern, again, the rule of thumb suggests so what? Accept they have an opinion and what if it's different than yours, as long as they are being respectful - why get your knickers in a twist over it?

Kristen's weight gain yes or no? *bangs head on desk* The biggest debate since the ludicrous suggestion of a pole to 'get rid' of Robert Pattinson for Edward Cullen (Yeah some people in the US DIDN'T know who Robert Pattinson was - funny that?)
You know what? I am so sick and tired of the sanctimonious people, who call others out over this - it's downright pathetic. Childish behaviour that represents this fandom right now!

You don't believe Kristen's pregnant - good for you.
You do believe Kristen's pregnant - good for you too.

Next?
Two stunning women (Kristen and Tara)
You see when you go down that childish, mean girl slippery slope, of calling out people, spreading hate and lies. Posting angrily and hatefully in blogs, twitter or public boards, you are no better than those, who spent every waking moment from 2008 - dismissing Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson as a couple. Oh wait, that's still happening.

I could say that the majority that do this, are mean spirited teenagers/college eds. who are on Spring Break right now and need somewhere to vent their frustration. As they lay claim they are 'true Rob and Kristen fans' needing to 'protect Kristen from a bunch of people, who are spreading lies about her and the invisible condition' all over a public blog, that should be private. Or attacking a person who posted up a video privately to a few people and told them specifically 'do not post this anywhere else' and yet...it was re-posted, re-tweeted and re-blogged ALL OVER THE BLOODY PLACE!

To the point that the person who did this, because they have media contacts and thought it would be nice to show a few people what she was able to maintain...the mean girls, the horrible and downright disrespectful of this fandom, have seen this as another avenue to attack this person. To spread about that 'well she shouldn't have posted it in the first place' Really...that's the excuse to take something that was deemed 'private' and spread it everywhere. But not only that, discredit what was or was not seen and then continue to attack and bully this person. For the purpose of what exactly?

Mean spirited, hateful, vengeful and downright ignorant - this is what this fandom has become. There are no true fans anymore, because true fans would not be this disrespectful. True fans understand that others have different opinions than their own, but have come together, because of the relationship of Rob and Kristen. But that's just it, isn't it? Half of the people who are behaving in such a despicable and embarrassing manner, don't believe there is a relationship. They 'run' to Hollywood Life with lies, gossip to Gossip Cop with untrue gossip. Repost from online gossip blogs, that have always spread lies and hate, claiming they speak the truth, when they have always been called out for their lies...

Oh wait, they tell lies?
Double standards are very much alive in this fandom and sucking the fun out of everything in it's path. You call yourself a fan and yet publicly speak about areas of Kristen's body and claim those who 'think' she is carrying a baby are 'loco in the head' 'delusional and pathetic' but at the very same time, they are forever banging on about 'how skinny she still is, how she doesn't look any different from .... last year'. You are behaving no better than those, who are red circling baby bumps or baggy clothing.  You are resembling the very same people, who constantly objectify Rob and his looks, his swagger, his legs, circling his groin and fingers, while swooning and sighing over the Dior ads (still shuddering over that porn-fest in the fandom)

THAT is disgusting, because he's a human being, not something to slobber and get your 'rocks off' over. And i am sorry if you believe this is the norm. because women objectify over Michael Fassbender, Ryan Gosling and others, so doing it to Rob is no different? Yes well, say that to their significant others, when they see women who claim to be fans. Setting up blogs over their obsession and objectifying the person 'they' are with. 'It's harmless fun' no it's not when you stalk movie sets and spread lies about them to the media. OH that's right - Kristen can't speak up about it can she?
To the point...
She can't speak out and tell those women to stop making blogs about her significant other, because it's demeaning and disrespectful. She can't show that it's downright disgusting to have photos posted all over the internet of the groin area with cackling women (some old enough to be his mother) blowing the images up as they 'obsess' over him. And yet the same women, attack 'certain' bloggers, because they are being just as disrespectful and demeaning to Kristen - how so? By suggesting the young girl is expecting?

How many actresses get put under the 'media baby watch spotlight' with fans 'whispering, suggesting or assuming' whether she is pregnant or not? Look at the headlines and you will see that Angelina Jolie is pregnant, having affairs, getting married, having plastic surgery, adopting more children - every single week. And that's just one actress the 'media' has got wrong, time and time and...time again.

The trash-toids are filled with lies, lies and more lies and people stupid enough to believe the media knows what it's saying, eat it all up. And yet a few insignificant blogs, an insignificant opinion, seems to have divided this fandom into a war zone. Those who have these blogs or have formed this 'opinion', haven't gone to the media expressing their 'happy concern' they have just spoken to like minded people about what they think - true or not on a blog or twitter or facebook, tumblr or public/private board. But it's those who disapprove, are the ones spreading the 'opinion' all over the place, not those who are voicing it. It's those who disagree about what is being said, feel the need to repost and retweet this 'opinion' everywhere. So really who is carrying it to the media?

Asking a blog to be shut down or go private, asking a person or person's to stop speaking about this 'opinion' all over the social network. Asking fans to choose a side - for or not for a pregnancy or relationship - who on earth made you Queen of the fandom?
Rob and Kristen deserve better...they sure as hell do. They deserve fans who will respect them, regardless of their personal lives. They deserve fans who will understand that it's their lives, their right to have or not have a family. To work or not work. To eat or not eat and to hide from the media and give those who have hounded them relentlessly - absolutely NOTHING. Because at the end of the day, this fighting, this explosion of disrespect doesn't affect their lives one bit. We are just fans, we do not feature anywhere in their lives, we don't have a voice or opinion about their lives, that they will listen to. So really, the only people we are annoying, being disrespectful and downright stupid about...is ourselves.

I am a fan of both; their personal lives do not affect me. I adore them as a couple, but i respect them as the persons, the individuals that they are. I don't encroach on their personal space, but i won't ignore other people's opinions. I won't loose respect if someone doesn't agree with my opinion, they have the right to express theirs as i have the right to express mine.
This is my blog, my opinion, whether you want to read it or not. I am not forcing you to read i am not forcing you to click on the link and therefore give this blog another hit. If you leave a comment, remember - respect costs nothing and if you choose to lower yourself and attack me for my opinion, that's okay. I won't resort to name calling and being a bitch like you want me to be. I have a delete button and i will use it. I respect your opinion, but if you attack mine for no reason - then that's why you will be deleted. Its fairly simple and incredibly respectful.

Derest Tempest..........this is just wonderful. You have a wonderful way with words & have summed up what I have been thinking for sometime now. That the ones speaking the loudest are the ones who don't like what the others are saying for just expressing their opinion. Like you, my life continues on despite what some are saying or even what's going on in Rob & Kristen's lives. Between my RL & job.....I don't get much time to spend with friends online like I have before. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with the rest of us. You are such a voice of reason......knitting words together that make perfect sense.....what a wonderful job you have done with this post today!!! Bravo!!!

Wow, Tempest, thank you so much for this. All of this is getting ridiculous... hell, all of this was ridiculous already.
We have to remember a couple of things, I guess.
First: uncompromising diplomacy is the way to peace.
Second: Until we get believable information (i.e. Rob and Kristen releasing a statement of some shape or form), every theory has a margin of error, big or small.
Third: People in a shaky position shout the loudest.

Sorry for the preach :)

Hi, first time posting and had problems, so apologies if another version of this comes through.

Hi Tempest, a DIDY newbie here. I agree with everything you say although I confess to being one of the people not happy about the pregnancy discussions. I tried to respectfully raise my concerns at the main blog, but was not welcome to share my opinion. My issue is this: if Kristen is pregnant, then she is keeping it quiet and not discussing it publicly. As fans, I think we should respect that and not discuss it either. If she has simply gained weight, then I think it must be awful to have this discussion taking place - I have had that experience when someone asked me when my baby was due, and it wasn't! A humiliating and embarrassing situation for all concerned, so I don't wish it on Kristen.

My personal view is that discussing Kristen's weight gain is as bad as objectifying Rob's body, but hey, that's just my view.

Hopefully you will allow me to post my comment. I will not raise it again.

I concur with everything else you said.

Thanks.

you won't find a fandom for any celebrity, where something like that won't be discussed and speculated over. so, what's the difference here?? i just don't get that deal. but whatever. one question, what do you mean with 'main blog'`? DIDY has nothing to do with the blog, you are talking about! absolutely nothing.

Sorry, but K's weight gain is NOT the same as Rob's private parts......
Her weight gain is there for anyone to see, or not see, as some prefer....!
Rob has never flaunted his body parts for public consumption.....

Not sure what 'main blog' you are talking about either.......

I know Tempest has nothing to do with the other blog focussing on Kristen's pregnancy. I just didn't want to mention its name, but if you insist, HKN.

Hope you like this oldie but goody song.xxx

It's Magic.

You sigh, the song begins;
You speak, and I hear violins --
It's magic.
The stars desert the skies,
And rush to nestle in your eyes --
It's magic.
Without a golden wand
Or mystic charms,
Fantastic things begin
When I am in your arms.
When we walk hand-in-hand,
The world becomes a wonderland --
It's magic.
How else can I explain
Those raindrops when there is no rain?
It's magic.
Why do I tell myself
These things that happen are all really true?
When, in my heart, I know the magic is
My love for you.
It's magic...
It's magic...
Why do I tell myself
These things that happen are all really true?
When, in my heart I know, the magic is
My love for you.

Tempest I wish you could post this on every blog across the fandom. A difference of opinion is just that two sides of the same coin. When one side insists that the other side conform to their POV, then it is no longer a differing opinion...but an attempt of dictatorship.

Bring your opinion in a respectful way or better yet go where there are like minded individuals.

Hoping to play a part in a peaceful day today.

Thank you once again Tempest for being the voice of reason.

Tempest...this issue has driven an even bigger wedge in this fandom and I for one find it FUBAR. Respect and tolerance for another's opinions goes both ways. You don't like what I believe in so I'm going to make sure that I show up on your home blog and let you know that you are wrong. In return, I will respond to your comment by calling you every name in the book, not in defense of my opinion, but because you came to my blog of preference and voiced your opinion. Bottom line...two wrongs don't make a right. It is only human nature to defend what you believe in, but can't we all do it in a civilized manner? Do any of us want to go back to the days of the AT boards or emulate the ones who currently post on HWL or GC? This fandom is passionate on both sides of this issue, and when passion rears it's head, cool heads seem to go out the window. People on both side of the fence need to think before they post a comment. Thanks for the wise words, Tempest.

Tempest said...

Caroline hi, as someone who is not into the debating of whether Kristen is or isn't, i respect your feelings about it being discussed on other blogs. I understand people's distress over this and as i have mentioned in my blog post, these blogs are open blogs and as much as people are annoyed about the duscussion its happening i've seen it myself taking place and have friends who have openly spoken about this.

This fandom is a very passionate fandom with a lot of heightened anxiety right now. Whether i agree or disagree with the topic, much like those who openly discuss their sexual orientation on social networks, so the pregnancy debate plays on. My advice for what its worth is that to not visit areas where its being duscussed, especially the blog in question. I am all for freedom of expression, as long as its respectful. I have no time for those purposely going out of their way to be rude and hateful. Calling others out and suggesting they are trolls for believing is no more acceptable than calling others out fir believing she is not. Uts about respecting people's opinions eithout the need for hate. This might not answer your concern, sorry, but i hope at the very least it gave you some insight into how i feel in it all. T

great post as usual. like you I say if you don't like what people are talking about on a blog, or what ever site you go to don't go there and disrespect everyone else there. Because most of the people on that site is in like mind about opinions. Keep spreading the good word.

Tempest: :I agree with Flowergirl. Many times lately I have started a comment only to erase it for fear something I say will be taken in the wrong way.

In the short time I've been in the fan base I have really come to like Rob and Kristen both and to appreciate what they go through.

You are well respected by fans, and I hope what you have said in this post will cause us all, as Flowergirl put it, to think before we post.

@Flowergirl I also agree with your term FUBAR. It's like this issue came up and all respect between Rob and Kristen fans went out the window.

Tempest said...

I dislike what all this has done to the fandom, a fandom i have been in since 2008. Its no longer a case of we vs them anymore, everyone is at each others throats and it has to stop for all our sanities. Respect each other and our right to have different opinions.

Hannah Pennick said...

Tempest...Thank you for the sound advice that you are so famous for. More than a month ago I said I believed and I do. I like a good discussion but to me there is no such thing as a good fight.

Besides it's so pointless. Very soon there will be absolute proof one way or another. If people could keep from wigging out in the meantime it would be better for all involved. Because if we don't I'm afraid we will all destroy this fan club over anger and pride. I think that would be a shame.

Scarlet Nonna said...

Dearest Tempest. Thank you once again for an intelligent, sensitive, nail-on-the-head post. Agree with @Morning Coffee: it should be on the reading list of everyone in the fandom.

As that strong woman of British government, Margaret Thatcher, once said, "I love argument, I love debate. I don't expect anyone just to sit there and agree with me..."

BUT a really unpleasant little worm has slithered into the midst of the latest debate so that it appears certain folks don't particularly care if they can't win because it's OK to start flinging vile names and other abuses around; maybe they believe THAT will shut down a blog they disdain, or even change others' opinions. This is not going to happen, of course, but against the vulgarity and insults that abound, I'd like to use Kristen's own mantra: "Everyone, calm the f**ck down!"

Hello to everyone else here. Hope the day/night finds you well. @Barbara, "It's Magic" is just what I needed to put a spring into my step!

Cheers for now, all. <3

DEAR TEMPEST, I cannot think when I have ever seen a more sensitive, true , real, correct way to communicate with others. First, you need to have respect for one another., and especially the creator of the post, second, you never expect posters to come complaining and correcting and insulting, expecting a fight. Third, you can always feel an awareness of just about the truth in facts seen when you are posting and really need to try to be more patient with each others feelings. These feelings are very strong in some folks and less strong in others. Rob said he thought it strange that everyone knew how he thought, how he felt., that they did not know. Surely Kristen feels much the same. I guess what I am saying is truly , no matter which post you love and adore, and truly I do love this one, we need to listen and re-read or watch what these two have said about their views, and not extrapolate too much, and I am guilty of that just as many others. We are all very imaginative and it is good to have cheerful thought, real or not real, we should just try harder to stay on board with their current movies and birthdays or such perhaps. Memo to Sue.

Victoria said...

Applaud! Applaud! Well written! I have been saying this for so long. Everyone does not need to have the same opinion of things, but they do need to have respect for each other. This world would be such a dull and weary place if everyone was of one thought, but that doesn't mean a war has to be started if someone disagrees with some one else. What happen to adult discussion.

Rob and Kristen has given us so much that I can't see where a fandom that argues over every little thing is giving them back the respect they deserve. We all love them, or at least a part of them, some love Rob, some love Kristen, and then some of us love both of them. And you can't love someone and then turn around and hurt and disrespect them like what has been happening.

Again I want to say well written and thank you!

Flowergirl said...

Tempest...you bring up an excellent point , and one that I feel is at the heart of the problem. There are three or four main support blogs that we have all logged onto, either now or in the past. You are responsible for the content of your blog, as Rose is for hers and HKN and SRWN are for theirs. Each of you talented bloggers has their own group of regulars who post comments but IMO, that does not mean they own the boards. They are in the public domain. People can agree to disagree, or just stay away, but this infighting is destructive and serves no purpose

tip-tap-toe2008 said...

Fantastic blog Tempest, I totally agree with you. People need to stick with the mantra of: If you don't have anything nice to say then don't say it at all.

Velma Jean said...

Victoria....I agree with you. Tempest has tried again and again to get all who read her to see that diversity of opinion is to be encouraged and agreeing to disagree is the way to go. Lately that;s happening less and less. And because we read other sites the negativity gets us all down.

I have promised myself that for a week I am going to stick to this site alone. And maybe the lack of awareness of the fuzz going on elsewhere will be better for my outlook.

@ Barbara....I love the diversity of your music choices lately. I hope you and your loved ones are doing well.

Everyone have a good week.

Honey I can honestly say that for the last couple of months I have only read what I wanted to read on twitter and on SL. If I disagreed with something or if someone is preaching I will just quietly move along. I will not even acknowledge an argumentative remark!

I just can't see arguing over something I can't change in the first place. And even though I have an opinion on the subject of R&K and the wee baby bump, I just pretty well discuss it with people that are like minded. My opinion doesn't mean anything in R&K's life anyway. It not like they come to me for advice! LOL!

But I don't hide the fact that I love R&K and respect them for all the work they have been doing.
Just give people a smile ....it's contagious! LOL!

Good Afternoon my dear Friends on DiDY, I've been trying to fix my two keys that keep messing up but I think i will take it in, I'm just getting mad and upset because i follow the directions but they are still messing up :O( So I came here to wish you all a great day and saw that Tempest wrote a new post, which as always was great.

I to find myself fearing about what i write about Rob and Kristen, I try to make sure I'm not saying something to upset Tempest or the others, i try to make it about them and put in a little about me and my family. So all I can do is leave it to Tempest to let me know or delete what I write or say and I'll respect her. I understand what she is saying, I do go to other sites to see what they have to say, but to be honest with you all I don't want to listen to fighting, it's so stupid, I only post here mostly, I feel safe here and I love our people here, your guy's are so real and true. I use to go on Twitter but now I just go over there once in a while to see if someone wrote to me, which they don't lol, to be honest I don't understand Twitter and it makes me so mad sometimes, there was this guy who was posting these gross pictures that made me sick, so i blocked him from posting on my site, there is some strange people on there, sorry but I'm saying this from my heart.

I love Rob and Kristen, I to respect them and want to be a good fan, I only wish them the best and the other thing which everyone is talking about, I use to say she was but lately I've decided to just let it go because I really don't know and she's working in New York and it's cold so yes she is wearing more clothes, she would, it's also windy there too. So I just can't wait for the new movies to come out so I can enjoy them. So I will just go on thinking that they are together and are happy.

OK hubby is calling me so i will see you all later, Love and Hugs BobbieV

Felicity, I just didn't express myself well. I meant no connection between HKN and DIDY. And I recognised your name at once as one of the regular commentators there, as I know that Tempest also posts there occasionally. No big deal from my perspective. But as I say, it was just not well-written by me and I can see why you might be confused by my words.

Thank you very much Barbara, for the lyrics to two great songs. Hope your doggie is stronger today. I am being exceedingly lazy today, reading and enjoying music. Sugar is trying to sing, she loves the BEATLES. I really think Julianne and Kristen will be amazing in STILL ALICE. Hope I am well enough to see this film next year. Hope A is feeling stronger, and is able to do things he wants to. Has he ever tolerated his cell phone? My husband Andy was seriously attached to his phone, and if I was out doing errands, he was on the phone talking to me. When in trouble driving the cellphone is a real friend. I need to go do some cooking, I hope everybody here is well. Tempest, thank you for your wisdom and your very caring ways.

and my last comment, I think I was so shocked that my respectful post was simply deleted at the other blog, that I wanted to acknowledge that I had written something there, but didn't want to get the same treatment here! Interesting, to see how many of the same names on this blog, but their comments here and language is so much nicer.

But, I have said my piece. I am not into preaching, just wanted to put my view out there in some forum other than twitter or a tabloid, in the hope that people might see the issue from my perspective. Bottom line for me - let's focus on their work and leave their private lives where it belongs. Private.

Another great post Tempest, I want to know when did it become socially acceptable to hate on people you may never meet, whether they be famous or not; the hatred some people have for one another is appalling, I wonder is parents know what their children are posting on the internet, and I know that some of these people are adults, adults that should know better, life was so much better without social media.

I got to thinking and IMO I think the haters are scared that if Rob and Kristen are still together and IF she is expecting then that means that the media has lied to them and if they lied about this then what other lies have been told, and maybe the people on the pro R/K blogs have been telling the truth all along; that's a big kick in the teeth for them and they may have to evaluate all that they have been told is a whopping great lie.

Velma Jean said...

Paula Bain....You express my thoughts precisely. So many people have said so many truly vicious things about these two people urged on by lies the media used to whip them into a rage. How foolish, how angry, so many would feel if there turns out to be living proof that all of them were used this way to comment negatively about Rob and Kristen; and so engender tabloid hits: Money.

If and when that happens and the truth sinks in, I think I may feel sorry for them. The one good thing about such an occurrences is we may suddenly get unanimous support for tabloid reform and truth in reporting; at least I wish; that would happen.

I have enjoyed your comment very much Paula; and I hope you speak up again soon.

Tempest, dear -
I don't have time to read much anymore, but I'm sure glad I squeezed in a few minutes to read this.

Yes, times have changed, and the "fandom" has definitely changed. Sad.
Many of us have been in in it for a long, long, time it seems - haven't we? I would like to think there still are a few us of "true fans"...:-)

Thanks for keeping things real, and in perspective, my dear!

Bobbie V....I like this quote. I hope with spring nearing you will go to having more energy. I hope I do too.

As for twitter I stopped going on there too. It's like a teenage blast on a sugar high except there are a lot of grown people behaving worse than any adolescent ever thought of.

@Euclid. Glad you like the song, I am a huge fan of Ben Folds, just come back from the Vet Khan had his blood test now we wait, he was not happy being there and it made not one ounce of difference to him that the Vet was stunning long tanned legs and was wearing denim shorts and had a California accent, no he wanted to get out of there, we are keeping our fingers crossed that it isn't something serious.xxxx
Humidity is still a pain in the arse, although it is overcast our temp is 27(74)
"The Kristen Stewart Conundrum" excellent thankyou for that, hope all is well with you and your family. xxxxxxx

Velma Jean thank you for a lovely response, this world is so full of hate whether it be skin colour or religious beliefs, we try to teach our children not to hate, then social media came along and it became a big old hate fest, as someone else said if we all liked the same things life would be boring, it's ok to have different opinions on things, but a little bit of respect goes along way.

It's a beautiful day here in Auckland New Zealand, winter is not far away so everyone enjoy your day wherever you may be in the world.

LoL that is so true Velma there are a lot of grown people who act like little kids.

Team, this is an old old old old oldie, but a really great song,
Mr Wonderful/ Peggy Lee

Why this feeling, why this glow
Why the thrill when you say hello
It's a strange and tender magic you do
Mister Wonderful, that's you

Why this trembling when you speak
Why this joy when you touch my cheek
I must tell you what my heart knows is true
Mister Wonderful, that's you

And why this longing to know your charms
To spend forever here in your arms

Oh, there's much more I could say
But the words keep slipping away
And I'm left with one point of view
Mister Wonderful, that's you

One more thing, then I'm through
Mister Wonderful, Mister Wonderful
Mister Wonderful, I love you

@Barbara - After listening to "The Luckiest" I listened to some of Ben Folds' other songs as well but "The Luckiest" will remain my favourite. If someone had written a song like that to/about me, I would have melted into a puddle - not sure whether I would ever have recovered!

Relieved to hear Kahn wasn't interested in an inter-species relationship with your 'tall and tanned and young and lovely' Californian - sounds like Khan still has his wits about him - what would he do if he'd fallen in love and the vet had returned to the States??? I suppose it will take about a week to get the blood test results back? (Glad you also enjoyed the 'Conundrum')

Another wonderful post and right on the money , Tempest. I hate all this inter-fandom fighting. Thanks Barbara for the wonderful songs. And Tempest, thank you for defending my friend who is one of the nicest people in the world; and who loves Kris and Rob as she does her own family.

Barbara said...

@Euclid. Ben Folds is a talent I love his music but "The Luckiest" I think is every fan's favourite it is so beautiful.
Khan only has eyes for A,so Chelsea did not stand a chance, she is so sweet and was amazed when I spoke to her a while ago that I picked out her California accent, and then asked me what part of London I was from, haha, she was shocked when I said Liverpool she could not detect any scouse, when I told our girls they started to mimic me as they said"My Husband and I"
I do not sound like the Queen.
Zero pics of Rob and Kristen, makes me smile. more power to themxxx
And shame on all the haters who because their lives are cold lonely and empty. feel the need to try and cause friction and upset on sites that support both Rob and Kristen.

Euclid said...

@Barbara - I'm not amazed that you picked out her accent because you're musical, so I'm assuming you have a good ear. You could probably imitate any accent you wanted to, including the Queen's!

I've been over on HKN and left a post there - they've got a good new policy in action now - just hopping/skipping/jumping over incendiary remarks. If everyone sticks to non-engagement and HKN continues deleting, those who want to create drama might get bored and depart. Hopefully it won't be as much fun for them if they're unseen, unheard and just pissing into the wind.

Barbara Fenwick said...

Thank you Tempest. Everything you wrote needed to be said. This fandom has changed so much, it used to be such fun, and now it is filled with bitter people who hate. I am a fan of both Rob and Kristen, and I believe they are together, but whether you believe this or not, there is no need for the bitter, evil things that people spread around.

We need more people like you, if this fandom is going to survive. Thank you Tempest, looking forward to next time.

Barbara, I love this old memory maker. Thank you.

I hope you and A and your loved ones are well. I also hope your coming winter is not as cold as ours here in the Midwest has been. It's March 23rd (Spring)and our temperatures are headed back into the 40's.

I think the only thing that will cause tabloid reform will be if people will stop buying and following the drama they create to generate money hits.

As Christopher Dark repeatedly pointed out along with Twilighter57 and many others: "As long as there is a market for lies tabloids will continue to print them."

But tabloid reform is a nice dream and one I wish would come true also.

@Barbara - That's funny - would love to hear the three of you in action! Speaking of gin, there's a wonderful gin mixture which is perfect for heat and humidity - it's a mix of gin, lime and ice cold sprite - I think in Australia sprite was called lemonade and we used Roses' lime juice... Anyhow, it's a lovely cool drink for a hot and steamy day and should help make all of your accents delightfully plummy!

Barbara said...

@Euclid-I read your post to Atticus, he turned ghostly white and the mention of gin. When he was 17 he was given a glass of beer his first, but someone, who obviously had no brains poured gin into the glass, and A drank it he said he did not like the taste but didn't wish to come across as a wuss, he was so violently ill from that one glass he was taken to hospital, so of course he has never forgotten that awful experience, so reading out the sprite /gin mix turne him a lighter shade of pale. One of our dearest friends is a gin drinker and as much as A loves her he stays well away from her when they come to our place for a bbq, just a slight whiff of it and he feels like he needs to throw up. poor angelxxxx
btw loving the blackout of Rob and Kristen info and pics, and the frustration of the toilet dwellers still kicking themselves for bringing to an abrupt end the huge pay check they were used to collecting, thanks to Rob and Kristen. She's More/ Andy Griggs.

I like blue eyes, hers are green
Not like the woman of my dreams
And her hair's not quite as long as I had planned
Five foot three isn't tall
She's not the girl I pictured at all
In those paint by number fantasies I've had

So it took me by complete surprise
When my heart got lost in those deep green eyes
She's not at all what I was looking for
She's more

No, it wasn't at first sight
But the moment I looked twice
I saw the woman I was born to love
Her laughter fills my soul
And when I hold her I don't wanna let go
When it comes to her I can't get enough

So it took me by complete surprise
When my heart got lost in those deep green eyes
She's not at all what I was looking for
She's more

More than I dreamed of
More than any man deserves
I couldn't ask for more
Than a love like hers

So it took me by complete surprise
When my heart got lost in those deep green eyes
She's not at all what I was looking for
She's more

Ours. / hope you like this song team.xxx

Elevator buttons and morning air
Strangers' silence makes me wanna take the stairs
If you were here we'd laugh about their vacant stares
But right now my time is theirs

Seems like there's always someone who disapproves
They'll judge it like they know about me and you
And the verdict comes from those with nothing else to do
The jury's out, but my choice is you

So don't you worry your pretty little mind
People throw rocks at things that shine
And life makes love look hard
The stakes are high, the water's rough
But this love is ours

You never know what people have up their sleeves
Ghosts from your past gonna jump out at me
Lurking in the shadows with their lip gloss smiles
But I don't care 'cause right now you're mine

And you'll say
Don't you worry your pretty little mind
People throw rocks at things that shine
And life makes love look hard
The stakes are high, the water's rough
But this love is ours

And it's not theirs to speculate
If it's wrong and
Your hands are tough
But they are where mine belong and
I'll fight their doubt and give you faith
With this song for you

'Cause I love the gap between your teeth
And I love the riddles that you speak
And any snide remarks from my father about your tattoos will be ignored
'Cause my heart is yours

So don't you worry your pretty little mind
People throw rocks at things that shine
And life makes love look hard
Don't you worry your pretty little mind
People throw rocks at things that shine
But they can't take what's ours
They can't take what's ours

The stakes are high, the water's rough
But this love is ours

"She Tous Les Visages De L'Amour"/Charles Aznavour

She may be the face I can't forget
A trace of pleasure or regret
May be my treasure or the price I have to pay
She may be the song that summer sings
May be the chill that autumn brings
May be a hundred different things
Within the measure of a day.

She
May be the beauty or the beast
May be the famine or the feast
May turn each day into a heaven or a hell
She may be the mirror of my dreams
A smile reflected in a stream
She may not be what she may seem
Inside her shell

She who always seems so happy in a crowd
Whose eyes can be so private and so proud
No one's allowed to see them when they cry
She may be the love that cannot hope to last
May come to me from shadows of the past
That I'll remember till the day I die

She
May be the reason I survive
The why and wherefore I'm alive
The one I'll care for through the rough and ready years
Me I'll take her laughter and her tears
And make them all my souvenirs
For where she goes I've got to be
The meaning of my life is

She, she, she

Good Night and Sweet Dreams to my sweet Friends, I'm beat this has been one of those days that started off OK and just got worst, Suzy was in one of those moods where she did anything she could just to drive me nuts, kids sometimes know when they can just get on your nerves and she did today, hubby said she was just pushing us as far as she could, they scary part is she reminded me of her Mom and I pray with all my heart she did not get that from her. We called to get a room for our vacation trip for a couple of days and they don't take dogs, will our sweet Gabby goes everywhere with us, so we are going to go to Great Falls and go to Suzy favorite place to eat and do some sightseeing and just come home later on. Friday she gets to go see her Mom which I'm not looking forward too but it's something I do for her.

I see that all the lies are coming from every direction on the poor kids, they just can't leave them alone, but I'm sure they deal with it and not pay any attention to the bull shit, and it is shit. I got so upset today that I just got off the computer and let it go, didn't want to see it or read it, went to check on twitter and it had BS on there too, so got off that too. So went over to Facebook to visit with my family and good friends and that was better, my Family live in Ca. and so does all my Friends so we keep in touch with Facebook, my son, my sister and her grandchildren and all my Friends I've known for years.

So my dear Friends I'm off to bed and will talk with you tomorrow if we don't get home to late, have a good day tomorrow and be safe OK, Love and Hugs BobbieV

(Disney's Frozen) Let It Go Lyrics I don't know if any of you have seen Frozen yet but it's one of the best movies by Disney's in a long time, they have some great songs in it too, this is one, hope you don't mind Barb?

Let It Go

The snow glows white on the mountain tonight,
not a footprint to be seen.
A kingdom of isolation and it looks like I'm the queen.
The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside.
Couldn't keep it in, Heaven knows I tried.
Don't let them in, don't let them see.
Be the good girl you always have to be.
Conceal, don't feel, don't let them know.
Well, now they know!

Let it go, let it go!
Can't hold it back any more.
Let it go, let it go!
Turn away and slam the door.
I don't care what they're going to say.
Let the storm rage on.
The cold never bothered me anyway.

It's funny how some distance,
makes everything seem small.
And the fears that once controlled me, can't get to me at all
It's time to see what I can do,
to test the limits and break through.
No right, no wrong, no rules for me.
I'm free!

Let it go, let it go.
I am one with the wind and sky.
Let it go, let it go.
You'll never see me cry.
Here I'll stand, and here I'll stay.
Let the storm rage on.

My power flurries through the air into the ground.
My soul is spiraling in frozen fractals all around
And one thought crystallizes like an icy blast
I'm never going back; the past is in the past!

Let it go, let it go.
And I'll rise like the break of dawn.
Let it go, let it go
That perfect girl is gone
Here I stand, in the light of day.

Let the storm rage on!
The cold never bothered me anyway...

So If you get a chance try and watch the video, and go see the movie or buy it, Suzy loves it and so did I

My grandkids loved this movie, @Bobbie V. Unless I've completely lost my mind, I believe "Frozen" not only won Best Animated Film Oscar, but "Let It Go, Let It Go" also took home Best Original Song. I have yet to see the film, but no doubt the youngsters will make sure I do once they have the DVD -- they love to fill me in on what's going on in virtually every frame!

Until my two grew into munchkins they've become, I hardly ever watched Disney movies, but now I think I've seen -- and enjoyed -- quite a number of "their" recommendations, and must say there have been some true gems.

Thanks for sharing the song lyrics.

"She's More" is truly perfect song for Kristen (and Rob), @ Barbara. I hadn't heard it before, but now it's on my iPod!

Thanks also for "She". Charles Aznavour is one of the most popular artists of the 20th century. In fact he was named Entertainer of the Century in 1998, and recognized as the century's Outstanding Performer, beating out such greats as Elvis Presley and Bob Dylan. Being a romantic myself, I LOVED his music -- great for dancing cheek-to-cheek! LOL.

I really do regret that the tabloids have gotten into the PG act. I wonder if it was one of those fans who kept mentioning the need for respect for her privacy was the one who leaked it to them.

We all know what the tabloids respect. Money.

We have some people posing as fans who are trouble making hypocrites who never loved anything but the sight of their own words on a printed page.

Sorry. Rants over.

I hope all is well with everyone today. Here we are having snow flurries and dropping temperatures.

Have a nice day...VJ

Scarlet Nonna said...

Oh, I agree, @Velma Jean, continuous skulduggery afoot all across the fandom. Very difficult to avoid because it seems to be everywhere, lies and squabbles about RK waft around like an ill wind.

It's why I no longer read the gossip, and that includes comments on some of the more reasonable but unscreened blogs and Web sites. How can one justify the sort of behaviour encountered between actual human beings ?! There are no answers to such outrageous comments as "I hate Kristen Stewart/Robert Pattinson. I don't know why, I just hate her/him."

--Yes, I saw just these words in the Comments section on a world news Web site about six months ago. Thank goodness for Tempest, DIDY, and all the lovely people who hang out here.

Yeah, despite the sun which managed to shine all weekend long, winter still drags on. The wind is the problem here, and there were snow flurries overnight, more expected tomorrow. And there are more snowstorm warnings for the east coast for Wednesday.

Cheers, friend.

Bobbie V....You have no idea how much I appreciate the quote above. I have recently had to "let go" of a lot of things in my life. I always thought old age was a time for fewer worries and more peace in our life. How wrong I was. From reading your comments I know you have encountered this same kind of knowing that I have. The only certain thing in life seems to be that nothing is certain.

These days I try to live by the old axiom expect the best; but prepare for the worst. It's my new motto to live by.

It's been nice talking to you, Bobbie V. Have a nice day...VJ

She Thinks She Needs Me/ Andy Griggs

She thinks I walk on water
She thinks I hung the moon
She tells me every morning,
"They just don't make men like you"

She thinks I've got it together
She swears I'm as tough as nails
But I don't have the heart to tell her
She don't know me that well

She don't know how much I need her
She don't know I'd fall apart
Without her kiss, without her touch
Without her faithful, loving arms
She don't know that it's all about her
She don't know I can't live without her
She's my world, she's my everything
And she thinks she needs me

Sometimes she cries on my shoulder
When she's lying next to me
But she don't know that when I hold her
That she's really holding me, holding me

She don't know how much I need her
She don't know I'd fall apart
Without her kiss, without her touch
Without her faithful, loving arms
She don't know that it's all about her
She don't know I can't live without her
She's my world, she's my everything
And she thinks she needs me

Yeah, and the funny thing is
She thinks she's the lucky one

She don't know how much I need her
She don't know I'd fall apart
Without her kiss, without her touch
Without her faithful, loving arms
She don't know that it's all about her
She don't know I can't live without her
She's my world, she's my everything
And she thinks she needs me

She thinks I walk on water
She thinks I hung the moon

VJ - You mentioned before that you've had/are going through some tough times and you've been in mind since then. Sometimes life isn't just 'not easy' but it's downright difficult!

I'm reading an autobiography by astronaut Chris Hadfield and he says pretty much the same thing as you - that as an astronaut one has to be prepared for the worst because that's what keeps them alive. He's found that translates well to life back on earth as well - nothing catches him unprepared and being ready for any eventuality gives him peace of mind and doesn't diminish his capacity for joy.

He says: "While play-acting grim scenarios day in and day out may sound like a good recipe for clinical depression, it’s actually weirdly uplifting. Rehearsing for catastrophe has made me positive that I have the problem-solving skills to deal with tough situations and come out the other side smiling. For me, this has greatly reduced the mental and emotional clutter that unchecked worrying produces, those random thoughts that hijack your brain at three o’clock in the morning.... In my experience, fear comes from not knowing what to expect and not feeling you have any control over what’s about to happen. When you feel helpless, you’re far more afraid than you would be if you knew the facts."

"Babe"/ Styxx

Babe, I'm leaving, I must be on my way
The time is drawing near
My train is going, I see it in your eyes
The love, the need, your tears
But I'll be lonely without you
And I'll need your love to see me through
Please believe me, my heart is in your hands
And I'll be missing you.

You know it's you Babe
Whenever I get weary and I've had enough
Feel like giving up
You know it's you Babe
Giving me the courage and the strength I need
Please believe that it's true
Babe, I love you.

You know it's you Babe

You know it's you Babe
Giving me the courage and the strength I need
Please believe that it's true
Babe, I love you.

Dear Tempest, I have just come across your post on hkn, I was unaware you are being hammered and maybe even dragged to the stocks, and it's all because you don't care one way or the other about the "Bump."Well dear leader ther are quite a few of us feel the same, I could not give a rats arse if Kristen is with or without Bump, and like me all who feel the same are staunch Rob and Kristen fans and supporters.

What a load of tripe these fools spew. Here on didy we have those who believe, but they do not scream blue murder at those of us who are bump free.Just how crazy has this fandom become, I think we should all be singing the song."Their coming to take us away hehehaha hoho, to the funny farm....

Dear Tempest. just need to correct something, I'm not having a swipe at HKN I realise you where answering a poster, and that was the first I had read about it after all the poison spewed at you some weeks ago from others on their blogs. xxxxxxx

Hi Barbara, Tempest, Flowergirl, Bobbie V, Euclid, Velma Jean, Jean Worley , Andromeda, and the rest of DIDY! I love all your comments. Great job. Well said Tempest. Thanks all of you for congrats to me about the food handlings permit. Its require where I live before getting the job like food service like restaurants and fast food. Jean Worley, I miss you. I hope you are ok. Barbara, I always love your musics. Great job. Anyways, I am going to bed now. Keep me posted. Hugs to you all. Night everyone!

I agree to both your comments Barbara and i was just stating a fact a poster felt the need to express their disdain over my involvement in the 'is she, isn't she' HKN knows were i stand in the outcome of the situation and while i support those on both sides of the fence and even those sitting on it, it doesn't influence my beliefs or my following of Rob and Kristen as a couple and individually and i felt the need to reiterate this to a poster who was calling me out purely to 'point the finger and accuse' only accuse me of something i have blatantly done. I am caught in the middle of this speculation just like everyone else, but instead of celebrating or arguing the point, i merely sit back and await what will be will be.

Good Evening my Friends, We had a nice day, Great Falls is about an hour and a half from us, the drive is really nice you can see a lot of things along the drive, today we saw Elk, Deer, on wild turkey, wild sheep and the Missouri River which is high this year from all the snow, but there were a lot of guy's fly fishing today. We wanted to see the Falls today but we got a late start so that will be another road trip.

I pre-ordered the movie FROZEN, because Suzy and I went and saw it twice LOL, I just love it and the songs are so wonderful and even the snowman's song about Summer was so cute. I happy you liked the song and that some of you liked the movie and it did get lots of awards yahoo!!!

You know I go over to HKN, I like her posts but I don't post there, it's a little too rough for me and there are other's I visit but the fighting is just dumb, so I like it here better, and Tempest I like your site, you have a lot of caring people here and are true fans of Rob and Kristen, they really care and that means a lot.

John Leguizamo Joins Jesse Eisenberg, Kristen Stewart in ‘American Ultra’ and Eisenberg stars as a stoner with a past that makes him the target of a government operation to eliminate him, while Stewart will play his girlfriend. Thats what I read yesterday, that will be interesting, didn't know if you guy's heard about it yet? it seems like Rob and Kristen are going to be very busy with all the movies they both are going to do, but since they both love to work I'm sure they find time for each other too.

I'm off to bed, long day and I did all the driving today so I'm beat, so Goodnight and Sweet dreams my sweet friends, love and hugs BobbieV

@Barbara - HKN deleted the post to which Tempest was responding. As you didn't read that particular post, I wanted to emphasize that the poster who taunted Tempest on HKN was not someone from HKN - they were just one of those visiting the site trying to stir up drama. Just to be clear, they weren't attacking Tempest for not believing in 'the bump' - they were actually an 'anti-bump' person, taunting Tempest and trying to insinuate that in past posts Tempest might have been involved in speculating on the bump theory. Which is why Tempest had to set them straight - they had called her credibility into question.

Because HKN has been clearing the negative comments so efficiently from her site, you also probably didn't see posts which personally attacked Vernier, Tracy and Sue M. Because of the attacks on the HKN regulars over the period of a few days, I had made a comment pointing out the hypocrisy of the attackers and supporting the policy of not getting drawn into verbal brawls - so I was also personally attacked for speaking up. I chose not to respond because I'd been advocating for Felicity's suggestion not to read or get drawn into provocative comments. After I saw my name and gauged the tone of the comment I didn't bother to finish reading it.

Overall, some pretty vile things were said to a few of the regulars on HKN but no-one responded in kind because of the agreement not to engage. That's why you might see some apparently irrelevant references to "hopping, skipping and jumping" - because those words were originally placed between comments which had since been deleted.

The "hopping/skipping/jumping" references are being used as reminders by the regulars to one another to just skip over/not read/not respond to provocative comments and wait for HKN to delete them; while in the meantime not being tempted to get drawn into any undignified verbal sparring matches. I've checked in and seen everyone's been really disciplined despite the provocation - so The Haven is once again a fun, peaceful place to be.

I now have a clearer idea of what Tempest had to go through a while ago. I gather a lot of the attacks against Tempest were on Twitter, which I choose not follow, just as I (like Arleen and others) choose not to click on to the tabs. So I've been pretty much protected by my self- imposed ban on being exposed to negativity. But reading the nonsense others had been posting on HKN has now given me a good idea of the personal attacks Tempest had to deal with. If I'd realized at the time exactly what was going on, I would have gone on another site to speak up for Tempest just as I felt drawn to to do when I saw the attacks on HKN and HKN regulars. I get it now when I see people who've been here much longer than I asking what has become of the fandom.

BOBBIE, Oh my goodness, that last quote really hit home. I tend to see the good in people, and really remember how very remarkable I felt Rose's posts were and are. At times when I knew that HWL really wrong , I was very much torn up all the time, and I did not know about DIDY, at all. I feel Tempest is unique, one of a kind, so is HKN, and SRWN, all different, all very positive. Tempest is very strong and has also been through lots of harassment simply because she does not take sides and cares about everybody who show respect for Rob and Kristen. I have seen the cruel ignorance of jealous posters who just have to be RIGHT no matter what or who they damage. We all have. Tempest is special and can slice through liars like a sharp knife through cold butter and leave no mark. We are all together in that we do in support Rob and Kristen as individuals and as actors. I sincerely hope that continues to ring true always. Bobbie, I tried to join twitter but am not savvy enough to do it correctly, thank you so much and thank you for Corinthians 1, I always see Saint Francis saying this to his flock. Please have a good all everyone and let us try to forgive others for the evil they do. We do not punish, God does. Eventually everything comes full circle. I really do not think my life will last very much longer, and have watched. Those who did want to crush me are all gone, and I have not really wanted any harm to come to them. I do not think we control our lives, I believe God has a plan for us all. I probably sound like a simpleton, but God blesses me every day somehow. He blesses us all. And so, when I see a good human being, I like to say thanks, so thank you Tempest for being you. A good human being, just doing her job and doing it well.

Euclid...Thank you for your kind heart and your sweet comments to me earlier in the post. There have been a lot of changes recently in my life. Some of them good. Some not so good.

You and the many others have been a blessing on this site. I read and enjoy Do I Dazzle You everyday. Most days I don't have anything useful to contribute. I guess sometimes my mind is on other things to the exclusion of all else.

This site, HKN and SRWN have been a great blessing to me. While I am listening to the give and take and the many ideas and thoughts about Rob and Kristen I am not worrying over something I can't control.

And while I know such behavior is a waste of time; I am still prone to do it sometimes. So here I am yet another person who have found some small peace wondering about two brilliant and beautiful people and their fascinating life.

I find what looks like a man's wedding band on Kristen's thumb rather fascinating. Truthfully, I find Rob and Kristen as interesting as ever and much more mysterious. Maybe that's why the tabs are carrying this nutty "R&K are over" scenario on for so long; because others feel the same way, even those with their own agendas. The negative Ninnys.

I think Rob and Kristen may be many things but I highly doubt OVER is one of them.

@Barbara... Love and prayers always and may you and A have many good days and no bad ones.
@ Sue M... I hear you are unwell also but I must have missed what is troubling you. I hope you are doing better soon.

Dear Velma, I am glad to hear from you. Looks like the Rob and Kristen team is finally home sweet home , and flew private again. I think after all that snow, the sunny California coastline and the Pacific ocean will look great. Nobody ever really knows where they ARE, so maybe time for R and R, somewhat. I have been diagnosed with Lupus Velma Jean, not full blown, but enough to recognize the signs. I came close to shutting down last year, septic and kidneys failing , and my child saved my life and got Mom to the Hospital. I notice my memory is not good. My friends have suggested a juicer and different veggies to combine for success. Carrots, celery and beets are supposed to be super for me. I love blender smoothies, so I am on the job. Hello Arleen, how are you? Barbara, hope the weather is good to you and A, and Bobby, have been praying for you, love you! Good night and please send prayers for the lost in Washington.

Sue, I'm so happy that you liked my Verse and the quote, I try really hard to find ones that have meaning for us and our couple, also to the mean people sometimes. I too tend to see good in all people and sometimes end up finding out they aren't as they seemed and get hurt, but that is part of life, everyday is a journey. It hurt to read the part where you said you thought your life would not last longer, why Sue? My heart is heavy and I want to cry because we just meet and I've come to care about you, so if there is anything I can do please let me know ok?

When the cheating thing came out about Kristen, I was so upset, I never did believe she did it and I still don't, I’m not sure what happened but she wouldn't do that, I just know it and everyone was so mean and hurtful, so when they the mean people would put her down or say things like Rob is going it drop her and all the mess I could always reply with Corinthians 1, it was the only thing I could say. I have a beautiful heart hanging in my kitchen with that verse on it and so I know it's something I love to read.

Sue, I think you are a wonderful woman and thank you for making me feel like I belong here and I hope to see you here for a long time to come ok. Love and Hugs BobbieV

@Barbara - Where did you get this one - "may your ears turn into arseholes and crap on your shoulders"? It's blindingly graphic but hilarious - and once again you've given me an image I'll somehow have to remove from my head before I try to go to sleep or I'm going to have some remarkably colourful nightmares!

And yes, I remember the attacks on V007 - there were more of the same these past few days as well as attacks on Tracy, Sue M. and HKN. When I checked in today there seems to be a halt to these personal attacks and I hope this cease fire sticks!

From what I've seen, engaging these attackers only encourages them to keep going. The attackers aren't interested in having a reasoned debate about a difference of opinion or reaching an agreement to live and let live. They're just looking for a fight.

I've observed that the regulars on HKN are completely accepting of those who don't buy into the bump theory as long as that opinion is expressed in a respectful manner. Many HKN regulars have, along with HKN, acknowledged that if the bump theory doesn't pan out it won't be the end of the world for them - their lives will go on and they won't be broken-hearted. So on HKN, as long as posters remain respectful of one another, there are no bad feelings between both sides of or on top of the fence! In other words, everyone's quite laid back and having fun as long as there are no personal attacks.

In terms of fans, DIDY, HKN and SRWN have a fabulous assortment of regulars - opinionated people respectful of one another's different perspectives, always ready for a laugh and genuinely caring for and supportive of Kristen and Rob as individuals and as a couple. I imagine this is how it used to be prior to 2012 and I'm glad being a regular on DIDY gives me that same experience - for which I thank Tempest. I plan to continue visiting only these three sites and continue avoiding tab/webloids and twitter. I'm fine with remaining in self-imposed blissful ignorance of the uglier parts of the fandom!

Velma Jean said...

Sue Morris.... I can't express how very sorry I am at your news. My ex sister-in-law has Lupus so I know a little about the condition. Some weeks she does very well and then she has times not so well. I hope you have many "light" near symptom free years as she did for quite a while.

A good vitamin and fiber rich diet and avoiding stress and fatigue are keys to coping according to her. I most sincerely wish you well and will remember you often in my prayers.

Velma Jean said...

BARBARA...Thank you dear friend for your kind words. Your mention of dark clouds has reminded me of the old line "into every life a little rain must fall." If there's any truth to that old saw then I should be fully paid up until about 2024. There are days I feel ten years older than I did just a few weeks ago.

I look at it this way right now I am needed as I have not been for a long time; but as Bobbie has said some times it's tiring to say the least. Thank you again for your kind wishes.

Euclid said...

@VJ - Sorry things continue to be tough for you and hope the good bits even out the bad bits as soon as possible.

Like you, I find DIDY, HKN and SRWN can be a marvellous distraction from the trials and tribulations of real life. As you describe so well, there's something that's pure and wholesome about the connection between the talented and beautiful Kristen and Rob which transcends the grubbiness of Hollywood, politics and big business.

The regulars on these three sites are also an uplifting group of people who support one another as well supporting R/K. I think if one allows oneself distractions to alleviate the sometimes harsh aspects of life, joining a like-minded, thoughtful, fun-loving community of fellow romantics is definitely one of the healthier sorts of distractions to have!

As I've expressed many times, I agree with you that Kristen and Rob are still a committed couple. It's not just based on blind faith but is based not only on positive indications of we've seen but also what we haven't seen (such as new romantic partners) - many of us have enumerated all the reasons for why this belief makes rational, logical sense.

Will continue sending you positive thoughts, VJ.

Andromeda said...

Barbara: I know you and Flowergirl are right. Honestly, just from reading the Google headlines on Kristen's page you can tell it's going to be a toxic waste dump. Tabloids truly are the sewer rats of Hollywood as Nick wrote in some of the best Do I Dazzle You older posts.

I am very sorry for all of those who are unwell and having problems. I've heard that from our greatest troubles comes our greatest strengths. I hope this is so. I do know the Bible tells us more will never be put on us than we can carry. So we must surely have quite a few strong people on this site. Or as
my mother use to say , "God may chastise a mule for stubbornness, but he never overloads it." So far I have found that to be true. May God bless you all and send you easier days ahead.

Velma Jean said...

@Euclid...Thank you for the positive wishes sent my way. These sites really are a comfort to many. A community of like minded people with Rob and Kristen and many other viewpoints in common.

Andromeda has put me in a Bible frame of mind. I don't know precisely why so many continue to have faith in Rob and Kristen; but we do.

The Bible tells us that FAITH is the Substance of things hoped for; the Evidence of things not seen. So clearly sometimes the evidence not seen is an indication of a proof that just is.

That's good enough for me.

Good night good people. I wish you all a great day tomorrow.

@Andromeda...Thanks for the pep talk.

Sue M., I read above of your illness. I am very sorry to hear that you are sick. I don't know much about Lupus but from what I have been told it can be very hard on not just physical, but emotional health as well. You seem to have a very up beat attitude so surely that is a plus.

On that point, I have been reading your posts on HKN. All of you seem so positive and happy over there. I have one thing to say on the point of view so often discussed there:: If Rob and Kristen truly were over why in the world would she have handed a poem about herself and Rob out to the Marie Claire interviewer to be published for the whole wide world to review and criticize?

If I was over a guy, the last thing I would do is hand out poetry about my feelings for someone in my past, someone that I was over months ago. Oh, no, no, no. That page would be torn out of my life and shredded. Most women would in my opinion.

The poem was written in the most esoteric language possible; and Kristen is smart enough to know it would not be unanimously well received. (Is she ever?) Or even easily understood. So she made whoever cared enough to look close work for it. That poem was a declaration to me. A sort of: "This is why I live my life so privately."

So why mention Rob if they were over? Anyone who can't see the implications of that just plain doesn't want to. End of story in my opinion.

Bobbie V, Regarding your second paragraph I agree. The headlines on their Google page do say it all. I can just imagine the volume and poison of the lies.

Sometimes I wish that the storyline of the Jim Carrey movie LIAR, LIAR were true and with just a wish no tabloid could tell or print a lie. Their conscience or something? would stop them. If for just a day they told nothing but the truth they'd never be able to sell the lie again. Maybe.

Then again I'm fast coming to the conclusion that way too many are addicted to the lies. They don't want the truth. Because it doesn't come in their own version. Just the facts ma'am, just the facts. HA HA.

@Sue M. - I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis but I like your attitude! @VJ has given you excellent advice from her ex sister in law re eating a good vitamin and fiber rich diet and avoiding stress and fatigue. I'm a firm believer in using what we eat to maintain good health and help with illness.

It sounds like your friends have done some excellent research for you as well and come up with specific foods which will help such as celery and beets. Beets are one of my favourite healthy foods. They're one of the best anti-oxidant foods, rich in potassium, magnesium, fiber, phosphorus, iron; vitamins A, B & C; beta-carotene, beta-cyanine and folic acid. Beets can help with mental health because they contain magnesium and also betaine, the same substance that is used in certain treatments of depression. They also contain trytophan, which relaxes the mind and creates a sense of well-being (similar to chocolate!) Beets can also help with lowering blood pressure (due to high nitrate levels) and assist with liver function and purifying the blood.

As you enjoy smoothies, here's a tasty, high fiber breakfast smoothie recipe using beets:
Hot Pink Breakfast Smoothie
1.5 cups coconut water
1/4 cup raw cashews (or soaked almonds or sunflower seeds)
1/4 cup dates
1 large carrot
1/4 fresh beet
Blend for 90 seconds.
Add 12 oz or 12 large frozen strawberries. Blend until smooth.

So, it's very quiet in the fandom, except for over on HKN. It's as if everyone has settled into a waiting mode.

It's been reported that Rob's mother is visiting him and some believe it is for THE blessed event. I don't know.

I think we have loved this couple a long time and perhaps too well. All I am sure of is if HKN and her many followers are correct it will be pie in the eye for the tabloids.

I would pay to see them backtrack and hem and haw to try to correct old harangues and to show the world that they are the sewer rats and the small time thugs that I have considered them to be for a long while now.

If a child is born to these two much maligned people it will break whatever credibility tabloid lies had about Rob and Kristen ever since May 2013.

I would love that.

I bet Rob and Kristen would too.

Scarlet Nonna said...

Hey there Tempest and all on DIDY. Have been decidedly under the weather the past few days. Think it's a nasty strain of the flu, likely picked up when I took my friend to her doctor: the waiting room was full of sniffling, coughing patients. I did have the anti-flu shot last November just wondering if I get a refund??? Lol.

Oh well, still able to lurk all the while, and first must tell you @Sue Morris how sorry I am to hear of your diagnosis. Until quite recently I knew precious little about the condition, but last summer my friend's granddaughter tested positive after suffering a mix of symptoms the entire 9 months of her pregnancy. I believe she was critical and I can only hope your attending physicians are able to help keep your situation under control and, most importantly, that you'll find relief from the pain which I understand can be excruciating. Oh my sweet Sue, I knew you were having ups and downs, but you are so brave facing this illness. You will have a special spot in my prayers, and of course in my heart.

@Arleen, I know you too are suffering -- although like Sue it seems you always manage to show us your cheerful, optimistic side for the most part. Chin up, love.

@Velma Jean, may I too express my kindest thoughts about your personal situation. Yeah, life does suck at times and I do hope you are not resigned to coping by yourself. So pleased to know at least some of your comfort and support come from us and the other RK-Loving blogs you follow. From your comments I gather you are a pretty strong woman in your own right, but it's always good to have somewhere to go, people to interact with, a way to push away the woes at least while you catch your breath.

@Everyone, got to repeat what this forum has come to mean to me too. Aside from my daughter who lives a distance from me and has her own life and family to contend with, I'm now pretty much by myself. Am starting to get the hang of it, but it's been kind of scary having to make decisions and carry them out on my own after 40 years of having a partner to work through stuff with. Still, when I find myself despairing, I'm reminded by my good friend Friedrich (Nietzsche) that what doesn't kill me makes me stronger! Lol.

Meantime I'm happy for the interaction with so many people with warm hearts, generous thoughts, good humour. Please know I cherish what we have here. Again, thank you all. <3

@Bobbie V, so pleased you and hubby have been able to spend so much fun time with Suzy. What a treat for the heart, and you deserve this. You are so special, dear.

@Barbara, unless I'm mistaken it seems your temps are not too-too overwhelming in Coffs these days, although there still appears to be that humidex hovering above the milder weather. Hope you and A, daughters, and Khan are all holding up OK. Oh, and I've memorised that curse of yours, about the ear/arseholes! I'd go so far as to say it's taken second place in my arsenal only to my favourite of all time. Sorry, cannot be repeated here, there is just no way to tone it down. Lol

So, according to chit-chat here and there, Kristen's safely back in LA and was already out and about with Alicia? Photos are misleading unless they are date stamped, and in any case I rarely look at pap generated shots anyway. I also heard Rob was spotted at some restaurant with his Mum and Dad...? Who knows, who really cares, as long as Rob and Kristen are safe and happy.

Thank you everyone for your intelligent comments -- sorry, my head is just too stuffy to reply to each one, although most are words out of my own mouth anyway.

Take care, Friends. Love and peace to you all.

@Andromeda. I am one who is sitting on the fence, I have been unable to see what others have, but to have all the haters doubters and toilet dwellers wake up one morning and find their ears have turned to arseholes and crap is all over their shoulders, will have me pirouetting along the fence with joy. I read that Rob's Mum and Dad are visiting him,not sure how true it is. hope it is true. love to all. xxxxxx

@Sue M - Have left a great beet smoothie recipe for you under your last comment, as well as a website for healthy smoothie recipes.

@VJ - Change is the most stressful thing for humans to deal with and yet it's the one constant with which we have to live. If you've had a lot of changes on top of one another recently, no wonder you're feeling battle-scarred and weary. May your faith give you the resilience you need at this time.

@Barbara - Okay, the word you replaced with 'crap' adds a certain alliterative flavour to the sentence, so I'll be using that one instead of 'crap' in future! I definitely had some colourful dreams last night, thanks to your 'delightful' image - no dancing around maypoles, though - more like goose-stepping down main street! I see your rain continues today, so am happy for you. It's snowing here in Toronto as I write - this is proving to be a protracted winter!

@Scarlet Nonna - Sorry to hear you have this nasty strain of 'flu - it's been in my household as well for a couple of weeks - it just seems to hang around and is a different type to that prevented by the 'flu shots. Hope you're able to take it easy while you recover.

Barbara said...

@Scarlet Nonna, doctors waiting rooms are the place that the germs lurk, have you had your flu' shot,? glad you liked the curse, would love to know what your one is. Yes the temps are down, it is raining here in Coffs and it has spread to the very dry area's. It is really great news for our farmers who have been doing it tuff. My heart and all my prayers go out to the poor people in Seattle, it is so very sad. love to all.xx

@Andromeda. Just saw new pics of Kristen with Alicia grocery shopping. looking at her I still see nothing that would have me clearing the fence, so I thankyou my didy friends for not giving me a bullocking for my stance. I love you all. it is pelting down here in Coffs oh happy happy days. love to allxxxxx

@Euclid, that would have been a rather strange dream, little arseholes goose-stepping down main street, the mental picture had me roaring with laughter, take care sweet friend.xxxxxx

Hello everyone on DIDY, spent the day with Suzy and her brother Casey, he's so cute, they played so good together, he's 17 months, his Mommy hurt her back so we tried to help her. Then we went shopping at Walmart, and got a few things we needed. Tomorrow we will be going to visit her Mom, my daughter, which to tell you the truth I'm beat from all the driving this week, so thats about 45 to an hour drive, there and back. I think that this weekend I'm going to rest, I'm done with this spring break LOL.

So I see that Kristen is back in LA, but is Rob back too? I saw the pictures of her and her friend shopping, what a shame can't even go to the store without being followed by buttheads. I didn't see anything about Rob being back so I don't know.

Ok will I'm going to go start dinner and then get some stuff ready for our trip tomorrow, so I'll talk to you guy's later on this evening, I hope everyone is having a great day, Love and Hugs BobbieV

Hi, everyone!
The K photos. Well, there is a very big possibility that they're old, so we shouldn't go mad over them. Also, I'm pretty surprised that R's in LA. Thought he'd never go back!
@VJ and @Scarlet, hang in there. Life pasees, and so do aches. Also, @Scarlet and @Sue, sorry about your health troubles.

I may have said this before but I believe these so-called haters are actually working for the rag mags. They go to the fan sites to try and rile us up so they can try and get us to say something they can use as a quote. They also have to try and debunk anything we may be

saying because it is the truth and they rag mags have lied about R/K
. They will stop at nothing to keep their lies going. I agree with not reading what they say. The truth is out there tell quote the X Files. Patience and stay calm. Love you all!

reading their garbage. I don't dig in the garbage can so why would I look at garbage in any form? The truth is out there as they said on the x files. Patience and stay calm. Love you all!

Hey everyone, wet and windy here but this morning I spotted a slew of snowdrops that have pushed their way through the sodden soil. Somewhat late but enough to make the heart sing at least a few bars.

If anyone's interested RD has posted a couple cool videos this morning. Rob's, a collage of shots from the Life film set, had me spellbound to say the least. What a beautiful man. The other is BTS from Kristen's Rosabotanica ad. Hope you enjoy.

Still praying for the missing after the devastating mud-slides in WA.

God bless all, talk again soon. x

@Euclid,@Scarlet Nonna,@ ZofTheTwiHard and Barbara....Thank you for your very kind thoughts toward me.
I do appreciate you so much as well as the many others here.

@Sherry...I have often wondered whether many of the people trolling Rob and Kristen sites were really tabloid personnel too. So many times something has been said here only to end up on rag sites and often in headline form.

Everyone have a good day.

Morning team. Hope you like this song, I think this is what happens when Kristen looks at Rob and Rob looks at Kristen.xxxx

"You Take My Breath Away"/Eva Cassidy.

Sometimes it amazes me
How strong the power of love can be
Sometimes you just take my breath away

You watch my love grow like a child
Sometimes gentle and sometimes wild
Sometimes you just take my breath away

And it's too good to slip by
Too good to lose
Too good to be there
Just to use
I'm gonna stand on a mountain top
And tell the news
That you take my breath away

Sometimes it amazes me
How strong the power of love can be
Sometimes you just take my breath away

Your beauty is there in all I see
And when I feel your eyes on me
Oh don't you know you just take my breath away

And it's too good to slip by
Too good to lose
Too good to be there
Just to use
I'm gonna stand on a mountain top
And tell the news
That you take my breath away

And it's too good to slip by
Too good to lose
Too good to be there
Just to use
I'm gonna stand on a mountain top
And tell the news
That you take my breath away

Barbara: What beautiful lyrics. They sort of go with the photo/video of Rob for LIFE over on RD.

It's quiet on the RK front and the tabloids are busy speculating once again. According to Kristen's Google page, Rob is scheduled to meet up with Dylan Penn in Spain soon. I wonder if Dylan knows that. Ha ha. They must think Rob and Kristen fans have a short memory to be dragging that old story out. Why it is on her page instead of his is anyone's guess.

I am not very old in the fandom but I remember Dylan calling the story about her and Rob together,"strange and ridiculous. "

I have a feeling that the longer Rob and Kristen stay out of sight now that they're both back in LA the weirder and stupider the stories will get. If I were Rob and Kristen I'd move to Europe and only come back for work
only.

Andromeda said...

Barbara: I haven't been paying attention to photos for as long as you but Kristen's hair looks a different color in the grocery shopping photos. The color is not the same as NYC Still Alice set photos and she's slimmer. If I had to guess I'd say they are older photos.

EUCLID, Thank you so much for the beet smoothie. The old picture of Kristen and friend are two to three months old and I really like her friend, a friend and former employee of KATIE, you know the one who is Rob's bud and the rags won't leave alone, whose Dad, Sean Penn, is a friend of Kristen's also. Dylan and Katie are Kristen's friends, I wish they would leave them alone, it is so ignorant to even mention the Scraping the bottom of the barrel for stories what? Next we will hear stupid stories of Alicia and Kristen again. Alicia is a very bright educated lady who Both Katie and Kristen respect. Alicia is involved with another sweet lady and that's all I know for today. But the PATTINSONS are all MIA, thank the dear Lord. I want to thank everyone for their kindness. I thought it was interesting that this diagnosis is named after wolves. Perhaps it is because it is sneaky and creeps up and bites you. But, it does explain what a forgetful dummy I am at times. Lupus does not have to be a death sentence, and my friend Kathy plans to help heal me. Removing wheat from my diet and no white items like sugar, refined flour, using only honey for sweeteners, etc., no white potatoes. Andromeda, I think you are right, the rag-mop gang in HWL will run crazy with INSANITY WARMED OVER until they fall flat on their ROSEY RED ARSES. Such is the rats of Hollywood's fate, to die of madness. Oh happy day. Shame on me, I will go into my 100 year old walk in closet, sit down and giggle , because the gossip rats dying of madness perks up my day! Have a good weekend, I intend to just enjoy my little world of sweet people and a loving daughter and puppy dog. God bless.

I apologize, my laptop is cutting out or perhaps the keys are not completely securing the word frames, but Katie Perry is not related to Dylan, her parents are church people. I think her Dad is a minister. But Katie and Dylan really are friends of Kristen and Rob, and lord knows anything vaguely female that Rob loves or cares about is fair game with the Rags, a new drama every day for the virtual insane women of DENIAL

@Barbara - Unfortunately last night the eahs surprised me by making a dream appearance as synchronized swimmers. All was fine as long as they were underwater but have to admit it was somewhat disturbing whenever they suddenly exploded above the surface excreting with gay abandon!!!

I remember those clouds of flies all too well from my Aussi stint. Whenever we'd walk the dogs or hike we'd break off several bunches of leafy twigs from trees along the way and wave them as we walked to shoo away the flies. Once I even risked ridicule by picking up the children from school wearing a hat with bobbing corks attached to the brim all the way around - and that actually worked really well! However, I gave in to the children's pleas not to embarrass them any further and reluctantly abandoned the headgear... Now that your children are grown, would you consider trying one out yourself??? Please, please do and put your pic on your avi!

Euclid said...

@Barbara - Eva Cassidy sings this like an angel - thank you. It's perfect for Kristen and Rob. You have a such a good musical ear and sensibility that Hollywood should hire you to select movie scores. Seriously.

Have left an eahs and fly response for you under your last comment above.

Barbara said...

@Euclid. I was roaring with laughter at that mental pic,and as for them exploding above the surface excreting with Gay abandon,I can't stop laughing Nick will be so proud to know we have a screwball addition to our little crazy club. I am glad toy mastered the "Aussie Salute" I remember Rob commenting on the size of the flies and that they would bite and seemed to be everywhere, poor Rob. The hat with the bobbing corks are really great to keep the flies at bay, although the children would just have thought Mum was a dag for wearing it. xxxxx
Thankyou for your sweet words regarding the song. Yesterday I saw the Rob collage from "Life" on RD and it took my breath away at his beauty, then I was checking out srwn and posted but made a slight error, sweet mama published it and corrected me so I went on this morning to apologise for my mistake and she has also published it, I truly do not know how anyone could have their wits together when speaking to both Rob and Kristen their beauty is luminous, love to all, if only we could blow away all those ear arseholes who hate them so much, what a wonderful world it would be.xxxxxx
Thankyou for the suggestion regarding the hat with corks, I will think about it and maybe give you a pic of me in a bobble hat, watch this space.xxxxxx

Euclid said...

@Barbara - Yup, was called a dag - too bad... Glad you're enjoying my nocturnal adventures with the eahs which, by the way, are entirely your fault!

I went to have a look at your SRWN comments and had a chuckle at the thought of Rob and Kristen being rendered helpless by the other's beauty... I'll never forget Rob describing Kristen as "breathtakingly beautiful" and as "the strongest, sweetest girl I know". Kristen is a well-loved young woman - Rob has never hidden his admiration for Kristen both as a person and as an actress - in fact, he has declared it the world. Mr. Pattinson is a romantic through and through! And I loved the pleasure and pride in Rob which Kristen made no attempt to hide after watching Cosmopolis in Cannes. I also appreciate the fact that they don't lose themselves in one another but are able to remain independent individuals pursuing their careers, supporting one another along the way. They are a match made in heaven - and yes, I know I'm preaching to the choir!

Looking forward with anticipation to viewing you in a bobble hat!

What The World Needs"/ Wynonna

I look around at all the faces and I see
All the lonely people looking back at me
Rich, poor don't matter we're all the same
Everybody's hungry in a different way
We're clawin' and climbin' and kickin' and screamin' and fightin' but really

[Chorus]
What the world needs now is love
Love and only love
A little help from up above
Faith to make a better day
Let's come together
Lay our differences down
Spread it all around
That's what the world needs now

(La, la, la, la, la)

Sometimes all it takes is just a smile
To change somebody's weather
Chase the clouds out of their sky
Sometimes you gotta give and not receive
Sometimes you gotta live what you believe
Open your arms cause that's where it starts
Right here with you and with me

[Chorus]

[Bridge]
Nobody likes the cold
We all need someone to hold
No one wants to be alone

[Chorus: Repeat 3 times]

([Third time:] "Let's come together, lay our prejudices down...")
(La, la, la, la, la)

[Fade Out]

@Arleen sweet angel, that is a lovely song. thakyou I love Wynonna.

Barbara, You are welcome. Good night. I hope some of the DIDY comments that lives in LA are ok. I heard they had a earthquake.

Euclid said...

@Barbara - As Matthew McC. would say, "All right, All right, All right!!!" Your flag look is fabulous - you're such a good sport - don't even miss the corks - absolutely hilarious!

I was tempted not to respond now so you'd have to leave the pic up for longer - but decided to take mercy on you in case you really didn't want to display your be-flagged bonnet to all and sundry. I think you look absolutely stunning with your beautiful face and I'm sure your mad hatter get -up has sent the flies fleeing in a frenzy!

I'm up at this hour because the boys forced me to watch the end of the Michigan State game as they squeaked into the 'Elite Eight', which are the final 8 teams of this annual NCAA ( USA college basketball) tournament, known here as 'March Madness'. It starts with 64 teams and works on a knock-out basis - very exciting and emotional for those with college ties to any of the teams involved and also for those who make bets on the teams. I know basketball isn't as big in Australia as it is here but we had season tickets to the Melbourne Tigers basketball team when we lived there, as well as to the Collingwood Football team. Anyhow, the basketball game was close and I was so caught up in the excitement and the noise from the boys that I can't wind down now! When I finally get to sleep I dread to think what the eahs will be up to...

Thanks so much for the pic - it's made my night - hope you decide to leave it up longer because it makes me smile!

@Euclid, you are very sweet to say kind things about my dial,I only noticed when I enlarged it(now that was very scary" the colour on the flags seemed to have made my left eye look like I had a cock eye or a dead eye, my eyes are blue and I think the blue from the flags has spilled into it, I also look like I have consumed a magnum of champers, when all I had was coffee that face is really not good enough to be on view. Glad you and your boy's are having fun. take care dear friend.xxxxxxxxxx
